New Honest Beauty Worth Checking Out This October.....Honestly

First there was The Honest Company for mother + baby. And now, meet Honest Beauty by Jessica Alba.

The stunning mom-of-2 and a star in her own right, Jessica has now branched out into the beauty + skin care business, where women LOVE seeing new makeup + facial products emerge.

And it's all launching now, ready for fall.

Let's take a look at 1 skin care item + 1 makeup item:

This is the Magic Balm ($18, at HonestBeauty.com).

".....all‐purpose beauty balm is an honestly magical blend of organic fruit and botanical oils to soften and soothe."

And Jessica's Truly Lush Mascara + Primer ($22, at HonestBeauty.com).

"Eyelash Primer protects lashes and intensifies color for a strong, nourished base. Rich mascara lays down smoothly to create an irresistibly voluminous effect...."

We think Honest Beauty is worth checking out.

Nicely packaged, honest ingredients, etc.

Audacious: Newest Mascara By NARS With Multi-Bristled Wand

audacious. extremely bold or daring.

That's the name of NARS' newest mascara in their glamorous line-up.

We LOVE mascara, so bring it on!

But it isn't cheap, and it's SOLD OUT in several places.

NARS Audacious mascara ($26, at Sephora).

Let's look at the unique wand. First it's pretty in pink, but the cool thing is how this wand or brush is put together.

According to NARS, the wand is full of bristles---more than  200 molded bristles and lengthening hooks.

"NARS’ brush evenly grips and coats lashes from roots to tips. It simultaneously separates, lengthens, and amplifies, while the tapered tip finishes off the inner and outermost lashes and enhance the lower lashes.".

We all LOVE a build-able mascara and Audacious promises long thick luscious lashes.

Copying Celeb Style With Cheaper Dupe: Is It Worth The Chance?

The DUPE.

Oh, yes....the duplicate, and when it comes to FAB style, well, some of us are looking for the cheaper alternative.

Why?

Well, maybe we aren't in the market for a glamorous $300 pair of celebrity sunglasses, like the fashion queen herself, Kim Kardashian West.

So, if we can hunt down a more inexpensive version that LOOKS  pretty similar, then we've scored a great buy!

Here's Kim K looking very pregnant and sexy, wearing her FAVE shades. We always seem to see the most famous reality star on the planet wearing these over-sized Celine flat top black sunglasses.

The genuine pair is the Celine ZZ-Top.

The real Celine shades like Kim K is wearing can be found here on SALE for $277.

OR.....you can take a chance on buying the DUPE, which will cost you peanuts.

We found a decent pair of faux Celine ZZ-Top sunglasses for $29.99 at Amazon. Plus FREE shipping!

There is even a CHEAPER DUPE for $20 on Amazon, along with a bunch of complaints about the super cheap material.

So...maybe the $30 pair is the way to go.

Here is an Amazon member in her DUPE pair. Sheryl looks GREAT in them.

This is very tempting. We might go for this Celine DUPE.

Would you take the chance on a DUPE?

Have you?

Miss 1990's Brown Lipstick? Kylie Jenner Brings Sexy Trend Back!

Think back to the 1990s.

Remember the BROWN lipstick trend?

Oh, yeah....It was different and kinda grunge in a sophisticated way.

Supermodel Cindy Crawford at her peak was into it. The lip look didn't last too long, however.

We LIKE the brown lipstick look. It lets your TEETH look so much whiter!

It looks like Kylie Jenner is bringing the sexy makeup trend back, and she wears it well, with a simple blonde ponytail  + conservative makeup for the rest of her face.

GORGEOUS!

Chocolate lips. Not sure they are for every gal, but it's a warm, sophisticated palette.

Back in the 90s, brown lipstick was being blended with brick + raisin shades, also.

Want to COPY Kylie's brown lipstick look?

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipcolor has 2 nice DUPES in MINK and CHOCO-LISCIOUS. Here at ULTA ($4.79, a tube).

The MINK is a bit tamer as a brown lippie.

Will you go 90's brown lipstick this fall?

Taylor Swift Loves Cats And Obviously Makeup Trend Cat Eye!

Meow, Taylor Swift!

Must be really nice having a professional makeup artist at your whim to create gorgeous looks whenever the need arises.

Here's the glam superstar earlier this week, nailing a flawless cat eye in midnight blue liner, a makeup trend we've been noticing. Of course, you could still choose black liner and achieve the same sexy feline effect.

We all know that Taylor LOVEs her kitties, and she owns 2, Olivia Benson + Meredith Grey.

Gotta LOVE the winged cat eye effect. Not the easiest eye makeup to get right or to perfectly match the other, but still one of the sexiest and most elegant techniques to master.

Most of us do not have a pro doing our cosmetics, but there are plenty of liners out there to create the look.
Check out elf. We like the e.l.f. Studio Eye Liner in Midnight (Navy) for just 3 bucks!

So pretty + polished.

Hi Sienna Miller: Proof That Even Celebs Need Makeup

We LOVE these instant snaps of attractive celebs walking around WITHOUT wearing any makeup.

Hi, Sienna Miller!

Yes, that is the lovely English actress sans makeup yesterday at the International Film Festival in Spain.

And what does this prove?

It's rather simple.

Makeup makes you prettier. Period.

Now...here's Sienna just 24-hours earlier at the film festival with hair + makeup + looking polished.

Wow....We can clearly see a difference. It's called mascara, lipstick + foundation. Plus, a chic hair bun.

And there is nothing wrong with putting on a few cosmetics.

Sienna looks radiant and her features more balanced.

Even mascara alone does wonders for the face.

We suggest Opulash Optimum Black Mascara by MAC, Nordstrom ($17).

No-Color Brow Wax Pencil: What Is It Good For?

Brows.

Hmmmm. We could talk about them all day.

Our own used to be so anemic-looking, but these days, our brows are growing in. Only thing, you need PATIENCE...and then some.

We read somewhere, that brows can take up to 64 (give or take) days to come back fully grown in. Eyelashes are quicker, taking only 4-6 weeks to come and go.

Our brows are taking a lot l-o-n-g-e-r than 64 days, but.....they ARE growing in. Get OVER age 40, and brows are even slower to re-appear. Ugh. So frustrating.

In the meantime....we can improve our brows through powders, gels, liquid tints and so forth.

Even brow pencil wax.

Yes....a wax pencil for eyebrows...A CLEAR, no color pencil.

Do you need this?

Well, a brow wax pencil keeps hairs all in place. It's a great GROOMING + TAMING beauty tool.

Here's one from SigmaBeauty ($11).

And the pencil can be used several ways, says SigmaBeauty:

"Use before adding color, either powder or pencil, or after as a finishing touch. The brow wax can also be used alone for a simple, sleek look."
