Kale has been labeled a superfood. And many of you drink your daily green juice for its nutritional powerhouse.
Celebrities also rave about the leafy green:
Kelly Rowland
"I eat kale like crazy. It's the best!"
Mariska Hargitay
"My son loves kale and we bake it in the oven. That's one of the things I'm proud of as a parent."
Heidi Klum
"I cut up [kale and kohlrabi] instead of an apple. I love it!"
But we've noticed that kale is entering the beauty business. Now this amazing veggie is showing up on the ingredient list of a number of skin care poducts.
Kale is said to be great for the body and the complexion.
One cup of chopped kale = 33 calories
9% of the daily value of calcium
206% of vitamin A
134% of vitamin C
and a mega amount 684% of vitamin K
Also a key source of minerals copper, potassium, iron, manganese, and phosphorus.
Look at this---Alba Botanica Spot Corrector at Vitacost for $7.99.
To Use: Apply over clean face and neck twice a day for spot correction, skin hydration and a double dose of leafy green goodness.
Alexa Chung is the face of Nailkale--- a new line of 12 nail shades from London-based Nails Inc. They just hit U.S. shelves. We found it at Sephora ($115).
Nailkale is an " antioxidant, five-benefit base coat infused with kale extract to strengthen nails."
We are intrigued by kale popping up in skin care + cosmetic items.
Will you search the beauty aisle for products that include kale?

It's Nicely Nude Nails For Fall 2014: Palest Pink Works, Too
If you watched the 2014 Emmy Awards last Monday evening, then you might have noticed understated manicures.
That's right. Celebrities like glamorous model Heidi Klum were showing off pretty dresses (this one by pal Zac Posen), and the hot trend for Fall 2014:
Nude nails or pale pink nails or a combo of both.
To copy Heidi's nude nails try OPI's China Glaze, a creamy, chic nude ($8.11).
If you prefer a bit more color, another runway look for Fall 2104 featured Essie's Mademoiselle, a classic, pale pink ($8.50).
At Alexander Wang's Fall 2014 show, Michelle Saunders for Essie created a chalky, soft beige combo, by painting one coat of Mademoiselle (a natural pink) and one coat of Sand Tropez (a latte color) on top.
Will you try the nude nail or pink nail trend this autumn?
Heidi Klum makes it look tres elegant!

How To Get DWTS Erin Andrews Beach-y Gisele Hair Now!
Erin Andrews is gearing up for another season of "Dancing with the Stars." The ballroom hostess is also gracing the cover of Health magazine's September issue.
Erin always looks so glam, whether it's on the football field or the dance floor.
And we all LOVE her pretty Gisele hair! So healthy, so highlighted + so full of volume.
So, is it all her crowning glory?
Well, er, most of it. Look at the Twitter pic she posted following a Red Sox walk-off win, when she got drenched in Gatorade last October.
Yup. That is some of the gorgeous sports personality's locks. She tweeted the photo to her adoring fans.
We think Erin has a wonderful sense of humor, because most famous women do NOT readily admit to hair extensions.
She has often been asked how she gets those Gisele Bundchen beach-y waves. She once revealed this to Allure magazine:
"I'm obsessed with dry shampoo. I hate washing my hair every day, and even when it is washed, I ask my people to dirty it up. I use the Redken texturizing spray. I've also been using Kérastase moisturizing shampoo and conditioner lately, since my hair is always getting blown out and dried and curled."
Try a bottle here. We found a new version by the Redken company:
Redken Fashion Waves 07 Texturizing Sea Spray 8.5fl oz at Amazon for $13.47.

Hitting The Sun On Labor Day Weekend? Cameron Diaz Loves Powder Sunscreen
Cameron Diaz admits she's taken in a lot of sun during her 41 years now (turns 42 on August 30). Let's face it, she IS the ultimate California girl.
And she's STILL hitting the sand + surf and having a great time, like many of us will be doing this long, Labor Day weekend.
Cameron Diaz appears to have fair skin, so she is quick to avoid the burn by playing safe.
She tells InStyle magazine that her favorite sunscreen is:
Coloscience Sunforgettable Mineral Powder Sunscreen ($62).
It would appear that a powder sunscreen might be defenseless against the powerful + damaging UVA/UVB rays, but not a problem for this unique product.
It works by providing weightless, sheer coverage, 80 mins. of water resistance and a natural-looking foundation.
And if it can deliver protection to Cameron Diaz's very light complexion, then it must be a sound beauty product, because she could burn very easily.
So, have fun wherever you might be headed this holiday weekend, but PLEASE don't forget to toss the sunscreen in your bag!

Got Zits and School Has Started? Try New Biore Charcoal Cleanser
We often get requests for facial cleansers that REALLY do the job. And since many of you are now returning to college, high school and the like, you want those ZITS to disappear NOW!
Well, we've found yet another one and this formula contains charcoal.
Oh yeah, charcoal.
Biore Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser has been out for a few months now, but a lot of people are just getting the buzz on this new skin care product.
We found some at Walgreens for $6.79.
Natural charcoal is one of the key ingredients in this unique, charcoal facial cleanser What it does it draw out those nasty impurities + pore-cloggers.
It's a purifying cleanser, and many fans of the product claim it deep cleans really well and leaves your complexion tingling and healthy.
Not EVERY beauty product works for EVERY skin type, so you have to sample several to find the BEST one for you.
And at less than $7, we think this Biore Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser is worth the money to try.
Easy to use, too:
For optimal results use daily. Wet face. Pump cleanser into hands, gently work into a foam. Massage over entire face. Rinse thoroughly.
No one likes to see zits pop up when they have to be somewhere, like the start of school, giving a presentation, or any other public event.
A deep facial cleanser works wonders.

Oh My! It's L'Oreal's New Miss Manga Mascara For Those Doll-Like Lashes!
We've said this before....We are a mascara freak. CANNOT live without this key beauty item.
And yeah....we LOVE doll-like lashes.
Welcome to L'Oreal's newest mascara on the beauty block:
VOLUMINOUS MISS MANGA MASCARA ($7.99, at ULTA).
Say what? What is a manga?
Don't worry. We had to look up the origin. Apparently, the manga stands for Japanese comics. And female manga eyes are drawn thick + long or as doll-like lashes.
Take a look at an example that we found at WikiHow.
Now it all makes sense. We love the clever advertising by L'Oreal.
And let's face it.....Who doesn't adore big, beautiful dark lashes?
Why is Voluminous Miss Manga different?
It gives you "great volume on the top and bottom. The brush has a 360 degree flexor that helps you build up to 15x the volume in a flash."
Plus the new masacara has gotten great reviews, 3.9* out of 5* so far.
