New Silicone Breast Implants FDA-Approved: For Ages 22 And Up

We like the name of these brand new adult breast implants:

MemoryShape.

Ha ha.

What makes MemoryShape unique?

According to the manufacturer, Mentor Worldwide LLC, it appears to be a safer silicone implant. In a news release, Mentor states that the breast implant has been "clinically studied among 955 augmentation and reconstruction patients participating in an ongoing 10-year study".... After 6 years, the study has found a low rate of "adverse events" including rupture.

We like that the implant is available in a range of sizes and tear-drop shaped to resemble the natural shape of a breast. Plus, more importantly--"to rebuild breast tissue (reconstruction) in women of any age."

"It's important to remember that breast implants are not lifetime devices. Women should fully understand the risks associated with breast implants before considering augmentation or reconstruction surgery, and they should recognize that long-term monitoring is essential," says Jeffrey Shuren, M.D., director of the FDA's Center for Devices and Radiological Health.

 

"The data we reviewed showed a reasonable assurance of safety and effectiveness," says Dr. Shuren. "We will be looking at the results from post-approval studies that will focus on the implants' long-term safety and effectiveness."

No real explanation yet on why MemoryShape silicone breast implants are ONLY for adult women.

We believe this is welcoming news. With brand new FDA-approval of MemoryShape, there are now 5 FDA-approved silicone gel-filled breast implant products available in the U.S. manufactured by 3 companies: Allergan, Mentor and Sientra.

The more choices open to women in all aspects of life, the better it is.

Sources say the reality star is resting comfortably after having her precious little one at 1:30 AM at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center this morning ... 5 weeks early, according to TMZ.com.


There are  a lot rumors going around that it was a planned C-section, and yet, as we read from TMZ, a "natural birth.".

We're not sure how Kim K delivered her baby girl, we're just happy that both K-Mama + little one are doing well.

By the recent pics we had been seeing, it looked like the star was ready to pop out her baby ASAP!!

Kim Kardashian tried hard to be a glam pregnant gal, and we think she pulled it off pretty effortlessly. She took heaps of criticism for how she was dressing.

For Kim it's all about the pretty, and she tries for perfection every time. We hope she takes the time to enjoy her beautiful baby and not worry too much about the post-baby body.

For most women who have given birth, it's the stretch marks that REALLY get on their nerves.

 Research shows that  if you attack stretch marks early, then you can diminish their presence.

Beauty Beyond 50 Isn't So Easy: Model Iman Is Leading The Pack

We wrote about actress Sandra Bullock yesterday, looking incredible in her 40s, 48 to be exact.

Now, let's take on the 50s. A woman's body is going through so much more, namely menopause. And that stage of life affects a lot of things resulting in:
weight gain
flabby tummy, hips
skin dryness
more wrinkles
thinner hair, etc.

But there are ways to keep it together. And model Iman is proof that age is just a number. In her case, 57 to be exact. Yup, this chick looks pretty darn good!! There she poses at the amfAR Cinema Against Aids gala ball at the famous Plaza Hotel in New York City last evening.

Now, many would probably argue that this iconic model has most likely achieved her ageless beauty through cosmetic surgery and or cosmetic dermatology.

 

Maybe. That could very well be true. But we don't find Iman artificial-looking.  She reportedly leads a clean, healthy life and it certainly shows.

 

Of course, the long, elegant neck+ stunning bone structure helps Iman defy gravity. And she's  always shown off such elegant, perfect posture with a toned, fit physique.

Okay, we're a big Iman fan. And every time we see her, she looks beautiful. Yes, a lot of it is styling with polished makeup + hair. Still, she's an excellent example of beauty beyond 50.

Sandra Bullock Lights Up London As She Steps Out In Sexy Black Dresses

At age 48, actress Sandra Bullock can do NO wrong. The gorgeous star has never looked better! Just take a peek at the Academy Award winner as she stepped out for dinner at Nobu's last evening and just a few hours ago at the U.K. premiere of "The Heat" at the Curzon Mayfair in London:

We are lovin' the entire ensemble: The sexy dress, pin-straight hair parted down the middle (so Cher '70s), polished makeup + red stilettos! Wow---what a great date outfit!

And we also give thumbs up to her black sleeveless belted gown + strappy sandals for the movie premiere.

Tempting Trend: Teal Eyeliner Under Lower Lashes Looks Lovely

We LOVE this easy, fresh new makeup trend:

TEAL eyeliner UNDER the lower lashline or directly in the waterline.

This is a HOT trend to try for Summer 2013!

It's a simple, glam look, and only requires a bit of teal liner.

You can go natural here, as we see on the model at Stella McCartney. Bare face with just an elegant teal line and a few coats of mascara.

Her eyes are mesmerizing! The teal puts those pretty peepers over the top!!

And last but not least, model Karlie Kloss, in the last photo, shows off a teal waterline with soft makeup and rosy lip.

We like this teal trend. It's a sexy but subtle makeup to try on. You don't have to be a professional makeup artist to make this look good.
