Drew Barrymore Gives Mascara Beauty Tips One Lash At A Time
Gotta love Drew Barrymore. The proud new mama of baby Olive is beaming with joy these days.
She's also got a popular new makeup line she developed called Flower. It is sold at Walmart stores.
One of Drew's favorite Flower items is the Zoom In Ultimate Mascara ($7.98, here).
These pics show the adorable actress demonstrating to fans how to get the longest. fullest lashes ever!
"My recommendation [for the perfect spider lash look] is to take our Ultimate Mascara," she says.
Drew takes the adjustable brush and drags it across the top lashes, to 'thicken' and 'lengthen' them.
She combs the wand through to smooth out any clumps.
"Then what I like to do is take the mascara brush and clean the tip slightly, then I dot it along the bottom lash line and blend it in with my fingers to give a more lush and creamy liner look,"
she says.
"It gives your lashes a more fuller look than you'll ever achieve by dragging the wand alone on the lashes."
Check out Drew's Spider Lashes tutorial here at flowerbeauty.
Good job, Drew!

Zooey Deschanel's Favorite Liquid Eyeliner Pen
There's no doubt that Zooey Deschanel has beautiful big blue eyes.
And by wearing her signature bangs, the eyes of this adorkable star of Fox's 'New Girl,' look that much larger.
Even if you don't wear straight, blunt bangs like Zooey, you CAN make your eyes appear bigger with your upper lids rimmed in eyeliner. Top off with a few coats of mascara, and you're good to go!
Zooey's favorite eyeliner is from Hourglass Cosmetics:
Hourglass Calligraphy Liquid Eye Liner ($32, at Sephora). The actress wears the dark brown or Cognac shade.
"I love this liquid liner because it's user-friendly. If you make a mistake, it's easy to clean up," Zooey tells InStyle magazine.
We LOVE those magic marker-type eyeliner pens. They are a lot easier to use, like Zooey says.
Some women feel intimidated by liquid liner, but when it's in a simple marker pen style, you don't have to be a professional makeup artist to give it a whirl.
Zooey uses the Cognac color and it gives her eyes a classic, natural look.
We give this beauty tip a big thumbs up!

Exuviance Age Reverse HydraFirm: New Plumping Moisturizing Treatment
The beauty creators at the NeoStrata Company have been busy developing a brand new skin care product to add to their amazing Age Reverse lineup.
Say Hello to Exuviance Age Reverse HydraFirm ($72, now available at beauty stores like ULTA).
And it's so easy to use: Gently smooth over a cleansed face and neck in the A.M..
We believe it's best to use for daytime because the incredible 'plumping volume' makes a big difference. In other words, Exuviance Age Reverse HydraFirm REALLY restores volume and firmness to your facial contours, allowing you to look younger with healthier skin.
We were lucky enough to try this new Exuviance product. The HydraFirm is a rich, pale aqua-colored cream that just glides across your skin. It feels heavenly and firming. And we can see why.
The NeoStrata skin care people are proud of their world renown cosmetic dermatology experts. There's A LOT of science that goes into each skin care item. In this case, the Age Reverse HydraFirm turns up the moisture, in a big way with its triple-firming complex of NeoGlucosamine, Hyaluronic Acid + Prodew, and other powerful ingredients.
Your complexion will drink-up the formula immediately. It works at rehydrating the complexion at deep levels and then lifts, firms + volumizes!
Exuviance's Age Reverse HydraFirm isn't the most inexpensive beauty treatment out there, but you are getting your beauty dollars' worth because this product is not only a protective, nourishing cream but also one that rejuvenates and plumps up the skin.
Spring has just sprung. Why not treat yourself to a skin care line that has the research + clinical trials that prove it.

Dakota Fanning's Fab Laid-Back Style
At 19, actress Dakota Fanning has already discovered her own easy, uncomplicated style. With her blonde pin-straight locks, blue-eyed all-American looks, the talented star is often admired for her spur-of-the-moment fashion choices. She's not afraid to mix up her pieces, and she pulls it off quite effectively.

Yes---Duh---You Should Have Some Basic Makeup Brushes
We're not telling you to spend hundreds of dollars on a set of makeup brushes, but we are hoping you consider at least buying a decent set of brushes.
And we have found a quality, inexpensive set by makeup artist Sonia Kashuk. Her Brush Couture Four-Piece Brush set is $12.99 at Target.
At the moment it's unavailable online but it is in a Target store near you.
Let's face facts, ladies....Those lilliputian-sized makeup applicators we find in a compact blush or eyeshadow kit are sub-par and don't really do the job effectively.
Sonia Kashuk's brush set gives you very usable brushes when applying your cosmetics:
Duo Fiber Multipurpose Brush
Medium Eye Shadow Brush
Domed Crease Brush
and Angled Liner Brush.
We certainly needed a good all-over eyeshadow brush. Those dinky, foam applicators are just lousy. A flat brush head like you see in the photo, 2nd from the left, is excellent for sweeping eyeshadow across the lids to the brows. And if you wish to apply a glam lower rim, all you have to do is hold the brush vertically and tap out a little shadow under the eye rim.
This brush set is nice for toting around in your bag or just for those traveling times. And at $12.99, you really can't go wrong.
We think this is a good buy.

Beyonce Treats Self To Pizza One Day A Week + Works Out Hard
There's NO doubt about it. Beyonce's got a post-baby bangin' body! And so many people are obsessed + fascinated with EVERYTHING Beyonce.
There she is--the fab cover girl for Shape magazine's April issue and she's dishing. The 31-year-old superstar claims she gained 57 lbs. while pregnant with baby daughter Blue Ivy in January of last year.
She looks sexy + curvy, and admits she's NOT a skinny gal:
"I'm not a person that is naturally very thin. I am a person that has to work at keeping my body in shape."
If the singer had her way, she would indulge in PIZZA all the time, but because it is full of calories, she only treats herself to PIZZA, once-a-week, on Sundays.
Beyonce admits that she shed the post-baby lbs.very quickly, "because I scheduled a show three months after I gave birth, which I would never do again!' she tells America's Shapemagazine."
Beyonce also worked out like crazy to get back to her gorgeous figure. The magic is in the diet. She told Shape that '80 percent of her post-baby weight loss was due to cutting out foods like her other fave-- pasta.
"I ate a very low-calorie diet. I stayed away from red meat and ate a lot of fish, replaced pasta and rice with quinoa," Beyonce says.
"I always have breakfast, say, scrambled egg whites, a vegetable smoothie, or whole-grain cereal with low-fat milk. For lunch and dinner, I eat a lot of fish and vegetables. And throughout the day, I try to stay hydrated."
Excellent tips, Beyonce!
