Sheer color, soft shine.
That's what many of us like when it comes to lips during daylight hours.
If you're looking for a little more than a chapstick-type balm, then try this one....the BIG ONE!
We've always been a fan of Bonne Belle Lip Smacker's Dr. Pepper. It gives just a soft wash of sheer red on the lips. Great for the gal who doesn't want to wear lip gloss or lipstick, but wants a subtle hint of color, or wants to quickly re-apply a layer of color over a
faded lipstick following dinner or a make-out session, ha ha.
Here's another super lip balm to try:
CoverGirl Lip Perfection Jumbo Gloss Balm in Ruby Twist ($8.99, at CVS). This is a lovely, sheer ruby stain. NOT sticky. And very hydrating for the lips. Formulated with shea + mango butters.
Getting ready for Valentine's Day?!
This CG Jumbo Gloss Balm in Ruby Twist would make for the prettiest red V-Day kiss!
Leave your mark in a soft, sweet way.

Pretty Peplum Means Instant Hourglass Figure!
If you want to re-shape your figure fast, then slip into a pretty piece of peplum. It's a simple but sassy look, and gives you instant curves.
Look at the adorable black peplum skirt we found at LuLu's ($30).
Peplums can also do damage control. In other words, you can hide a lot behind a peplum, such as a little baby bump. That's what reality star Kim Kardashian was doing when she wasn't ready to announce her pregnancy.
Then we all saw Jennifer Aniston in a sexy Gucci strapless peplum dress on the Jimmy Kimmel Show. Tongues were wagging then, that the perky actress was hiding her own pregnancy news behind the peplum style.
The peplum is a style which features an overskirt or extended fabric hem attached to a dress, skirt or top. It's a wonderful style because it creates a slimmer waist and hourglass figure.
Check out 'Revenge' actress Ashley Madekwe topping her sleeveless, black peplum with a pair of sleek, skinny jeans.
Are you going to rock the peplum trend in 2013?

Beyonce Might Be Wearing These At Super Bowl Half-Time Party!
You've heard of the saying, "Go big or go home!".
When it comes to long, thick, beautiful lashes, Beyonce does just that.
And although we are all curious if the pop diva will sing LIVE during Super Bowl Half-Time, we are also going to be watching what she's wearing and how her makeup looks. And Beyonce never disappoints.
When it comes to eye makeup, the lovely singer wants her lashes front + center. Maybe that's why she grabs these 2 beauty products to show off envious eyelashes, according to Bey's makeup artist Wei Lang:
Velour Mink Lashes 'Are Those Real' (on SALE for $29.99! 50% off, at Velourlashes). Yes...actual fur false lashes!! Wei claims that Beyonce LOVES mink lashes so much, that she buys these in BULK.
And the pop superstar also stays loyal to the L'Oreal beauty brand she represents. So when it comes to heavenly mascara, she reaches for L'Oreal Paris Voluminous False Fiber Lashes Mascara ($7.94, at Walmart).
Who can blame her? The rich, thick formula lets lashes pop!!
Good luck to Beyonce at Super Bowl Sunday! All the best. And we'll be eyeing your eye makeup, Bey!

Patent Leather And Windex Go Hand In Hand
Here's a great fashion shoe tip, because you know you need one, every now and then.
Okay, what does classic patent leather have in common with Windex Glass Cleaner Spray?
Hmmm. Everyone has a bottle of clear blue Windex at home, even if you hate doing windows.
Windex knows how to deliver a gorgeous shiny reflection, and that's exactly what patent leather shoes and accessories are famous for.
So, when your pretty patents need some tender loving care, reach for the bottle of Windex, spritz some on, and wipe off.
Windex glass cleaner is super safe on patent leather. It won't streak, and WILL bring back that glorious glossy finish!
Pointed Patent Pumps ($24.80).
Perforated Floral Patent Pumps ($29.80).

January Jones Admits That Staying Blonde Has Taken Its Beauty Toll
"I have been every color and now my hair is falling out in clumps," actress January Jones told British magazine Grazia Daily.
And that's why you saw a teased and sprayed up pompadour do for the Mad Men star at last night's Screen Actors Guild Awards. Nonetheless, she still looked stunning.
We have to admire the pretty actress for being so open and honest with the public. Most Hollywood celebrities would never share a big beauty problem with the world. That is usually kept hidden.
But January Jones admits it's the dyeing process that has done a number on her locks:
"I have been every color and now my hair is falling out in clumps," she admitted. "I’m going to have to shave it off and wear a wig."
January says she prefers being blonde, because her little son recognizes her as 'Mommy' in that shade of color.
We've all learned how damaging dyeing, highlighting and bleaching are to our hair and its internal or cellular structure. These processes weaken the strands, causing splits, breakage and even fall-out.
The ammonia and peroxide in permanent dyes ruin the hair cuticle.
Take a look at this YouTube vid for coloring basics.
The beauty lesson we can learn from January Jones' bad hair day is this:
Coloring hair does damage.
The lighter you go, the higher the upkeep and deeper the damage.
Conditioner is key, along with frequent hair trims.
Other than that, a lot of women color their hair. Sure, we all run into hair catastrophes, but we survive. As the L'Oreal slogan sums it up best:
"Because we're worth it."

Pregnant Duchess Goes Gap For Stylish Jeggings--Well, Almost!
The Duchess of Cambridge was out and about the streets of London yesterday, heading into a GAP store for a pair of leggings that look like tight jeans.
In other words, pregnant Kate was in the market for some jeggings, so says People magazine:
"She was looking for jeggings, which are jeans that look like leggings, as she said she liked very skinny jeans," a source says. "She didn't buy anything as she couldn't find the right leg length."
The GAP calls their jeggings, legging jeans. It can get a bit confusing. But we have a couple pictured below.
Too bad the most famous pregnant woman around the world didn't check out GAP.com. She could find the TALL girls lengths there. A pair of GAP jeggings will set you back at least $70, as show in the photos here.
Kate is barely showing a baby bump these days. The most recent photo depicts the pregnant duchess at a public event in our top pic. That was snapped less than a month ago, we believe.
Kate is a style icon, and appears determined to keep that title. She's going to keep wowing us all with her fab fashion choices for the full term and beyond!!
