Beverly Hills Housewife Star Adrienne Maloof: Favorite $8 Beauty Tips

Never a dull moment on Bravo reality TV. We just learned today that Beverly Hills housewife star Adrienne Maloof is splitting from her prominent plastic surgery husband Dr. Paul Nassif. The couple have three sons and have been together for nine years.

Just a few months ago, it appeared that everything was just fine. The blonde beauty was happy to share a couple of inexpensive beauty tips. One is for her favorite beauty product. And the other, her go-to-nail shade:

"Define-a-lash lengthening mascara by Maybelline," she tells Gigisaffronever.com. "I have pretty long lashes but this just adds more length without clumping and is a beauty bargain. I also love a pink or nude lip gloss over YSL Rouge lipstick." Define-a-Lash Lengthening Mascara.

I’m wearing “Mademoiselle” by Essie. I love a classic look and neutral polishes are very pretty. I’m also a fan of a french manicure."
Mademoiselle ($8.00).

Adrienne Maloof released a statement to RadarOnline.com: 'I'm so sorry that this is happening but my children are my life and sometimes we need to do what's best for them.'

She added: 'It's an unfortunate situation but, I have to have my kids best interest at heart.'

We have since learned that the Bevery Hills Housewives reunion show for Bravo is going to be filming tonight at an undisclosed location, and that Adriennne may bow out.

By the way, Dr. Nassif is asking for the separation.

We wish the couple all the best.

Simple As 1-2-3: Easy-Lites For Great Summer Highlights

If you have light locks and want to go lighter or blonder, have we got an at-home D.I.Y. product!

We have friends who pay lots of money to have highlights put in a few times a year. And most of them complain about the high cost.

Salon pro Marc Anthony has a wonderful highlighting kit you use along with your flat iron. It's called Marc Anthony Easy-Lites Highlighting Spray ($8.99, at ULTA). And BUY 1 Get 1 50% OFF, right now!

Do you desire sexy sun-kissed summer highlights?

This Easy-Lites Do-It-Yourself kit is a super 2-step process, but if you have dark hair, it might not lighten to the degree you would wish for.

This reminds us of the classic, cult fave, Sun-In. But with Easy-Lites, you see immediate results.

Since these are permanent highlights, that means that there is peroxide or bleach inovled. Please make sure your hair is healthy and free of directions ona box of Easy Lites:

"Be sure to read full product instructions carefully before use. STEP 1: On clean dry hair, select a section of hair to be highlighted and spray from root to end. STEP 2: Pass a flat iron over the section 5 - 7 times and watch the highlights appear. Read full product instructions for allover lightening directions."

Watch the excellent YouTube demo by the master, himself, Marc Anthony here.

Our locks are too dark to get a dramatic change, we think, but if your hair is lighter than Kim and Kourtney Kardashian, you could try this.

McDonald's Emphasizing The Skinny Fast Food During Summer Olympics

Let's get down to the truth.....A little fast food never hurt anyone, BUT, you probably won't get skinny visiting the golden arches or any burger palace anytime soon.

Having gotten that out of the way, let's be fair and take an honest look at McDonald's new promotion, 'Favorites Under 400 Calories,' which is now running in conjunction with the Summer Olympics.

Two weeks ago, we were longing for a McDonald's Filet 'O Fish and medium Fries, so, that's what we ordered. Now we find out the meal is ONLY 400 Calories?! Not exactly. Here's the McD fast food run-down:

McDonald's Filet 'O Fish sandwich.
380 Calories
16 gm. Protein
18 gm. Fat
39 gm. Carbohydrates
40 gm. Cholesterol
610 mg. Sodium

McDonald's French Fries (medium).
380 Calories
4 gm. Protein
19 gm. Fat

48 gm. Carbohydrates
0 Cholesterol
0 gm. Trans Fat
270 mg. Sodium

So, our McDonald's meal contained a total of 760 Calories with fat and a lot of Sodium. Yikes! Er...we used ketchup, too.

Plus, we drank a REAL Coke with our lunch. We don't even want to go there.

The bottom line---It's hard to get skinny at a fast food chain, but if you're just picking up a medium bag of fries, 380 Calories isn't the end of the world. Plus, these fries are amazing!

Purple Liner For Sexy, Perfect Eyes Say Olivia And Mila

Movie stars Olivia Wilde and Mila Kunis have some of the prettiest eyes in Hollywood. And they know how to show them off, too.

Okay, let's get a clue here. Most celebrities have professional makeup artists ready to do their stunning faces. And we believe that Olivia and Mila are no exceptions.

Both lovelies have revealed their sexy eyes beauty tip:

Purple eyeliner.

Grab a bottle of that, and you're good to go!

As Olivia Wilde recently told InStyle magazine:

"My eyes are my favorite feature to highlight--and purple really brings them out."

We can see why. Purple liner helps green eyes pop! And both Olivia and Mila have light eyes in the green/hazel shade.

We like Revlon's Colorstay Creme Gel Eyeliner in Plum ($10.49, at Walgreens ). Olivia is a Revlon ambassador for the giant company, but we also happen to believe Colorstay products are very good! And this purple liner is a great one and easy to apply.

Kim K, Gwen, and Diana---New Summer Do Blowback

Big summer hair!

It's called Blow-back hair. And Kim Kardashian, Gwen Stefani, and Dianna Agron are all walking with high-voltage hair during the HOT summer days. Even the models at the Carolina Herrera shows were launching this sophisticated look earlier in the year.

You're either going to like this off-the-face look, or you won't.

How do you do the blow-back? It's blasting the front of your hair up and back. And spray, spray, spray! There is no hair part The style goes behind the ears, and the length falls long and straight down the back.

Would you rock this classic off-the-face glam do?

Going Bananas Over OPI's Black Spotted Polish!!

You CANNOT get this in stores here in the United States, BUT you CAN get a bottle on Ebay, if you willing to shell out big bucks for the summer's hottest mani around:

OPI Black Spotted ($ 8.50, but ONLY available in France through Sephora stores as part of a limited-edition Spiderman collection).

A small bottle of Black Spotted sold on Ebay for $51, plus $20 shipping from France, for a whopping total of $71!!

We have to admit, there is something quite exotic about the French exclusive, Black Spotted.

So, how do you paint on this newest nail trend?

It's simple. "Apply a thin coat over completly dry lacquer. Finish with top coat."

Some fans say the unique nail polish looks like oil on water when it is dry. There's something almost surreal-like about Black Spotted.

What do you think, Ladies?

Would you do a mani or pedi with this hot summer nail trend?

Facelift Bungee: Temporary Way To Look 10 Years Younger?

Okay, we didn't see this one coming. But we are fascinated, to say the least.

We're not going to diss Facelift Bungee, because the temporary, do it-yourself facelift at just $24.99, has quite a lot of fans, but really now!

We saw a segment on GMA this morning. And we were speechless with all the steps involved to 'attach' this youthful apparatus by braiding 2 small, tight plaits above your ears. Then you take the little bungee cord and wrap it around the back of the head and hide it under the hair, to the braids with 2 small combs.

Ladies, wouldn't it be a bit simpler to either have a mini facelift done, or to go in for some cosmetic filler to lift and add volume to an aging face?

Sure, any cosmetic surgery or non-invasive treatments are not cheap, but certainly worth the investment.

A woman named Kimberly Aschauer invented the Facelift Bungee, and there's no doubt, she's one smart cookie, as they say. And the BEFORE and AFTER photos look pretty convincing.

So, is the Facelift Bungee okay to use daily?

According to the website, yes:
"Facelift Bungee has medical data proving no hair loss or headaches have occurred."

Check out the Bungee Facelift here on YouTube.

If we can add our own 2 cents, beauty science has made some incredible advances and developed some super surgical techniques and intelligent ways to fill a face, or erase aging sun damage, and so on.

What do you think?
