If you're afraid of needles, then DON'T tune into a new reality show debuting Monday, May 9th at 10/9C on the Logo channel.
It's appropriately called, 'Pretty Hurts.' And the program will give you an amazing behind-the-scenes look at all the cosmetic enhancement doings in Beverly Hills. You will meet 'injector to the stars', Rush Rand. And you will see an interesting collection of patients flock to his skin care office.
Famous folks like Janice Dickinson, the former model-turned reality star, are looking for the quick beauty fix. And shots of fillers like Botox, Restylane, collagen, Juvederm, and so forth, provide an instant rejuvenation, without having to go under the knife.
Yes....you will hear and watch Janice get jabbed and stung by numerous needle shots in the first episode, and you will 'feel her pain.' And yet, she keeps coming back for more. As Janice requests...."Pour it in there. Overblast me."
By the way, Supermodel Janice Dickinson said this in 2008:
"Believe me, I’m a 900-year-old dinosaur and without 14 inches of make-up and 32 pounds of fake weave I wouldn’t look the way I do. I want to be the best-looking corpse there is. I’m honest about it; I haven’t got a problem with it. I borrow bits from everyone. Every six months I fly to Dallas to get Botox and I also get collagen injections. I’m addicted to cosmetic surgery."
So, is there anything bad about getting injectables several times a year?
No, if done sensibly, we suppose. The real danger comes when a patient gets TOO much filler and the face looks too inflated. That's called pillow face. And let's not even talk about the too inflated lips.
Take a look at two photos of Janice Dickinson. The top photo shows the model at London Fashion week this past February. And the bottom photo is a snap of her in 2008.
Has Janice Dickinson over-dosed on injectables?! Or is the top photo just a bad shot of her?
