Angelina Jolie High-Energy Diet And Training Tips For Salt Movie

Angelina Jolie is dazzling audiences in her new action thriller movie, Salt.

The Academy Award winner plays the role of a CIA officer, Evelyn Salt. And Ms. Salt is a kick-butt agent on the run. Angelina does some amazing stunts in the movie, and trained and dieted hard to get in super shape.

So, how did the slender and busy mom tackle such a demanding movie role?

Well, it wasn't easy. But we have some of her fitness and diet tips:

1. Eating a high energy diet of 5 small meals a day. No junk food. And alcohol was only allowed on the weekends. The diet plan broke down into a 70% carbs/30% protein intake. And according to what her stunt instructor, Simon Crane, told Self magazine, Angelina actually avoided cardio.
"Angelina has to have 70 percent carbohydrates and 30 percent protein diet with an anaerobic training regime (as opposed to aerobic), so she can put muscle on without losing weight."

2. Building muscle strength and stamina. Angelina worked out like a mad woman, because the Salt role included daring stunts with safety cables and wire rigs, as you can see in the photo above. That translated into tough, 2 hour training sessions, 5 days a week, including fight training and strength work-outs.

"For her fight training, we got her learning a combination of Muay Thai and Krav Magha (self-defense) very early on," Crane says. "We would then pick the moves she was best at and combine them into a sequence."

We hear that Salt is a great spy thriller flick and that Angelina Jolie does about 99% of her own stunts. And the woman is in incredible shape. In this case, the carbo-loading pays off.

Forever 21 Now Selling Maternity Clothes: Dopey Or Clever Marketing?

Shopping at Forever 21. Sure, the fashions mainly target teens. But then again.....lots of women who aren't teens also buy clothes there. And we've mentioned Eva Longoria Parker before, as one of the hot celebrities who loves Forever 21, saying, that shopping there,"was a guilty pleasure." And Eva Longoria Parker is in her 30's.

So, then, is there a problem with the department store now selling maternity clothes? Will teens who frequent Forever 21 be 'inspired' to get pregnant to buy some cute maternity clothes?!

Well, some people feel that way, including the YMCA in San Jose, California, whose city is one of the 5 selected Forever 21 store locations where the maternity line is being launched. By the way, San Jose, just happens to have one of the highest teen pregnancy rates in the country.

One of the 'Y' staffers claims young girls should not be exposed to maternity clothes at their favorite teen stores. The staffer says that launching the line in the highest rate states, "could not be unintentional, especially since the line is opening next week in Nevada, another state that ranks high in teen pregnancy."

So, there you have it. Is it clever marketing? Or just plain dopey by the folks at Forever 21?!

"Forever 21 did not create, design or distribute Love 21 Maternity to target or appeal specifically to pregnant teens. Any relationship between teen pregnancy rates and the locations of our stores is unintentional," the clothing company stated in a press release.

Hmmm. We think Forever 21 knew exactly which of their stores to offer the new maternity line. However, you can also find the new line right at your fingertips here.

The new Forever 21 maternity line has some cute and affordable pieces. And we are sure, that a lot of pregnant women over 21 will be wearing the clothing, too.

Authentic Designer Shoes Bought For Less Online Probably Aren't

Christian Louboutin. Prada. Dior. Jimmy Choo.
Who doesn't love designer shoes!!

Of course, we all desire the real thing...authentic designer shoes. And many of us like to shop for them online and save some big bucks!

But, let's face some facts:

If you are shopping for real designer shoes on the internet.....watch out! Chances are, those Louboutins, just like the ones Jennifer Lopez wears, probably 'aren't'. In other words: theses are knock-offs from China.

Baby, those ain't the real deal!

Says who?

We saw an interesting segment on Good Morning America earlier today. And what we learned, is that those sexy Christian Louboutin pumps might look like the real deal on the shopping website. But when the shoes you purchased, arrive in the mail, well, the merchandise might not look as appealing. A snakeskin pump might look far too shiny to even mimic an authentic pair. Or the signature red sole of a Louboutin might reveal a bumpy texture, instead of the authentic smooth-as-silk red sole.

GMA's press release on the fake designer shoes:

"Buyers beware! In an age where billions of dollars are spent online on shoes each year, the counterfeit market has picked up on the trend. Fake Christian Louboutin and other top designer shoes are being sold for hundreds of dollars online as the real deal -- even though they are fake replicas from China.".

Maybe you don't mind, and still feel that the average eye cannot determine the real ones from the fake ones. Maybe so, but when you're shelling out $700 for a pair of authentic designer shoes online, well, you would hope you are getting the real deal.

Sadly, more often than not, these shoes probably 'aren't.' And it's so hard to protect yourself from buying an expensive fake replica, that we can't even tell you which online shoe shopping sites are the bad ones. There are so many out there.

Our advice....save your hard-earned $$$. And when you can really afford a pair of beautiful and flawless Louboutins, you'll know it, and head to a 'real store' that sells authentic designer shoes, that you can examine and try on in person.

Vanessa Hudgens Goes Exotic With Henna Tattoo And Red Hot Nails

We all love studying every fashionable inch of our favorite Hollywood celebrities.

Let's look at vivacious Vanessa Hudgens today (photos 2+3). Check out the young starlet's exotic henna tattoo on her palm and her red-hot nails at last night's movie premiere of Charlie St. Cloud.

It's called Mehndi, which is an ancient Indian body art. Check out the top photo. The detail is incredible. You can't take your eyes away.
And we love this sexy and temporary body accessory, because it's done with henna paste. No commitment. No needles. No stinging. Just an exotic, and in this case, red tattoo, that gently fades away within one to four weeks.

We learned that Mehndi is used to create beautifully intricate, ethnic designs and exotic patterns in red or black on different parts of the body. However, the tradition commonly features application to the hands and feet of ladies preparing for special ceremonies.

Hmmm....Vanessa Hudgens.....you wouldn't be planning a secret engagement/wedding to your hunky Zac Efron, now, would you?!

Madonna used to flash us some Mehndi back in the day. Remember?
Maybe there's a spa or salon near you, that offers this exotic body adornment. We are going to have this done, one of these days. How about you?

Jennifer Aniston Launches New Fragrance Lolavie

Now, fragrance by Jennifer Aniston.

Well, why not? Plenty of beloved celebrities have their signature fragrance, and some in multiples. Mariah. Sarah Jessica Parker. Beyonce. Britney Spears. Halle Berry. Jennifer Lopez. And the list goes on.

Next Wednesday, you will see the pretty actress in London at Harrod's dept. store exclusively launching her new perfume, called Lolavie, which we are told, means, 'Laughing at life,' in French.

And laughing all the way to the bank. You, go, Jennifer Aniston!

Lolavie by Jennifer Aniston has been described by some as, 'a gentle floral.'. And this is how the Friends star explains the scent to Women's Wear Daily:

"I want people to go, ‘What is that? You smell great!’ But most of all, I wanted it to smell natural."

Actually, here's what's in Lolavie: A floral fragrance which includes rose, wild violet and Amazon lily, dries down to a woody aroma of musk, golden amber and sandalwood.

Jennifer Aniston
went on to explain, that the entire fragrance development was more than just attaching her name to the label:

"It's been a year-and-a-half journey," she says. "I'd been asked to do things before, and it never felt organic. But when Leon [Falic, the president of Falic Fashion Group] approached me to be involved with the process from inception to fruition, I thought, 'This could be a creative expression.' And it's turned out to be an extension of myself as opposed to slapping my name on something."

We're told that a bottle of Lolavie by Jennifer Aniston will start at $47.

Interesting how the premiere of Lolavie coincides with the new Angelina Jolie movie premiere, Salt.

PETA Furious Over New Face Of Fur For BlackGlama

PETA. Fur. Oh, boy! We don't want to be anywhere near this one, when the fur hits the fan, so to speak.

Janet Jackson has become the new face for BlackGlama Furs. There she is, posing in luxurious black mink with her new, short-cropped do. Her sexy ad campaign photos will hit all the big targets this September. Places like the huge Times Square billboard. In major fashion magazines like Vogue. W. Harper's Bazaar.

And the animal rights folks like PETA, are furious with Janet Jackson, BlackGlama's new face of fur. She, on the other hand, has not addressed the PETA people, thus far, but she is talking about the glam company she's in.

The 44-year-old Jackson is so excited to join the long list of BlackGlama'a famous fur cover girl beauties: Sophia Loren. Catherine Denueve, Linda Evangelista. Liza Minnelli. Diana Ross. Cindy Crawford. Lena Horner.. And others, for 4 decades of BlackGlama ads.

"If someone would have told me later in life that I would be alongside such legendary entertainers, I would have never believed it," Janet Jackson
says.

But PETA is not impressed with any list of famous folks who would slip into a fur coat and promote the beauty of wearing an animal's skin.

"You told me that you were always aggravated at photo shoots when stylists would try to throw fur on you and that you were even wary of wearing fake fur out of concern that it might actually be real or look real in photos and send the wrong message,"
PETA Senior Vice President Dan Matthews wrote to Janet Jackson in a letter obtained by Black Voices. "You were very straightforward and sensible about it. What happened?"

Meantime, PETA already has their own new anti-fur campaign ad featuring the ultimate sexy gal, Pam Anderson. Sure, it's very provocative, and apparently too much so, for Canada, where the new PETA ad has been banned.

By the way, Pam Anderson is a Vancouver, British Columbia native. And she and PETA find the whole ad banning matter to be that of sexism, rather than too sexy.

"In a city that is known for exotic dancing and for being progressive and edgy, how sad that a woman would be banned from using her own body in the political protest over the suffering of cows and chickens," Anderson said in a statement. "In some parts of the world women are forced to cover their whole bodies with burkas -- is that next? I didn't think Canada would be so puritanical."

Ouch! We're staying out of this one. We hope Janet Jackson knows how to duck, because we're certain the fur will be flying come September.
