Oil Of Olay's Regenerist Micro-Purifying Foaming Cleanser Goes Deep

Here at Beauty Tip Today, we are always on the hunt for a cleanser that goes deep, and Oil of Olay's Regenerist line has introduced one that tackles a lot of skin issues.

It's called, Olay Regenerist Micro-Purifying Foaming Cleanser ($9.99, 6.7 oz., drugstores).

When it comes to beautiful skin, it's essential to deep clean your face and neck. What we like about Olay's Regenerist cleanser, is its advanced anti-aging properties included in the formula. It's important to note, that when you have deep-cleaned your face and neck, then the skin is prepared for the next phase of your beauty routine, be that of a moisturizer, a prescription retinoid, a chemical peel, and so on. If the skin is not totally free of grime and left-over makeup, then these other beauty treatments will not be able to penetrate the skin's layers as effectively.

Olay's Regenerist cleanser performs 3 key steps:
Deep cleans to the pore to remove even micro-particles.
Gently refreshes skin for a beautifully regenerated appearance.
Prepares skin for Regenerist Moisturizers and Treatments
.

Although we are not an Olay user, we have plenty of friends and relatives who believe in the Oil of Olay trademark. Many women trust this brand. And the Regenerist line, in particular, has received high marks from those in the beauty business. So we would be interested in trying the new Micro-Purifying Foaming Cleanser. We most definitely want a product that will remove all traces of makeup, grime, and oiliness, without stripping the complexion and leaving it too taut and dry.

Thumbs up to Olay's Regenerist for a cleanser that understands the meaning of deep clean.

Beauty Routine Of Olympic Gold Medal Skier Lindsey Vonn

Golden girl Lindsey Vonn is wearing some major Olympic hardware around her neck these days. Two medals--a gold and a bronze, so far, for the pretty downhill skier!

She's the talk of Vancouver....not only for her athletic prowess, but also for her sizzling Sports Illustrated bikini layout. And now that she's sporting Olympic gold around her neck, the all-American beauty will be seen all over the globe with lots of huge endorsements in the future.

"Lindsey is the total package from a marketability standpoint," Greg Luckman, president of the Manhattan-based Group M Entertainment told the NY Daily News a few days ago. "If at the end of this week she is wearing gold around her neck, she will undeniably propel to another level."

And we believe Mr. Luckman. The folks at Proctor & Gamble's Rouge magazine, have already asked golden girl Lindsey Vonn for some beauty tips:

For anyone active in outdoor sports, the elements can be cruel to the skin all over, as Lindsey admits:
"It's really, really hard; not only on your face, but my legs too, from going in and out of the cold and being in really dry climates. So Olay Body Wash plus Body Butter Ribbons is my go-to cleanser for my body. In the winter you get as much sunburn on your face as you do in the summer, so I'm always putting on a sunscreen. I also use Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream as my facial lotion."

So, what's Lindsey's daily beauty routine like? She's smart enough to know, a naked face is a no-no:
"I wash my face, exfoliate and moisturize. I always put on makeup even when I'm going on the hill. I use a light foundation, like Cover Girl Clean Oil Control Makeup and definitely mascara---I love LashBlast Length----and LineExact Liquid Liner. Just enough so that I don't feel naked."

The wind, cold, and sun, can all do a number on one's hair. Lindsey makes sure she gives her long, blonde locks some extra TLC:
"A lot of conditioner! My hair is like my skin, I have to keep it moisturized because it's constantly dry, so I use Pantene Pro-V Ice Shine Shampoo and Conditioner. It's a constant struggle because I'm in cold, dry temperatures, and then in summer I'm constantly working out."

Congratulations and thanks for some great beauty tips, Lindsey Vonn and Rouge magazine.

Chunky Hair Highlights Emerge At NY Fashion Week And Angelina Already Wearing

Ladies...Angelina Jolie knows this is a hot trend for spring/summer 2010. The beautiful, 34-year-old actress was already wearing some chunky highlights while in Italy a few days ago. Hers were a soft, honey blonde. But not for dark-haired gals. If your base color is a medium or light brown, then you're good to go!

If your hair is very dark, well, it can look 'skunk-y' if you go for too light a highlight.

Of course, blonde wasn't the only highlight shade on the runways for NY Fashion Week. There was a punk vibe being re-visited. Cynthia Rowley's show featured some light turquoise highlights woven throughout the models' hair. These were custom color hair extensions. And there were more bright, bold highlights in jewel colors like amethyst and emerald.

Best to go subtle, when it comes to highlights. And best to leave the job to the pros.

Think stripes this spring. You can get a totally new look with some chunky highlights. We wonder if Brad is loving Angie's new do! How could he not.

P.S. Angelina, Brad, and their adorable six kids are in Venice where mama Jolie is filming her new movie, The Tourist, alongside Johnny Depp. We're not sure if the chunky highlights are part of her movie character's appearance, but Angelina has changed her hair in the past for some juicy movie roles.

How Kelly Osbourne Is Keeping Weight Off In Cha-Cha-Cha Way

Kelly Osbourne has been the little darling of Fashion Week in New York City. And she has good reason. Kelly continues to keep the weight off and is wowing folks with her slender silhouette. She just modeled for super model Naomi Campbell in a Fashion for Relief Haiti show in Bryant Park. Just look at her in a shiny red dress. From Dancing with the Stars to the uber chic runway, Kelly Osbourne has cha-cha-cha-ed her way to a healthy and attractive new body.

So, exactly how has the offspring of famous rocker daddy, Ozzy, been successful at keeping the lbs. off? By moving.....staying active, and picking up better eating habits. Kelly was once a size 14. She's about 5' 3''.

"I’ve tried so many stupid fad diets to try to lose weight, when all I needed to do was start dancing,” Kelly wrote in a column for British magazine 'Closer'.

Kelly continues to cha-cha-cha and has also added Pilates to her work-out routine, according to an interview she gave to Life & Style magazine.

"Pilates is amazing, my posture is so much better and I'm even starting to get muscles on my tummy - it's incredible," Kelly says.

As far as her diet goes, Kelly Osbourne tells the magazine, that she had to create a new one.

"I've completely changed the way I eat since doing Dancing With The Stars," she says.
For instance, a half an apple is the natural sugar Kelly enjoys snacking on before heading to bed at night.

"A trick I've learned is to eat just a little bit of something that has no carbs and no sugar in it before you go to sleep because it keeps your metabolism going.

"They say you should never eat before you go to bed, but I've found just having a tiny little snack - like half an apple or something like that - before you go to sleep really helps," Kelly Osbourne
explains.

And instead of having "10 sodas a day, I'll have one," Kelly has told In Touch magazine.

And she also says it's not about the number of lbs. one loses. Do not compare yourself to others. "All these people worry, 'Oh I have to be under 100 lbs.,' but everyone has a different shape."
Kelly also says to keep a positive frame of mind. "I find that when I get depressed, that's when I gain it all back. But as soon as I start working and I'm productive and I start feeling good about myself, the weight just goes."

Load Up On Lots Of Bracelets For Spring 2010 Style

Bracelets. And lots of them for spring 2010 style.

Nicole Richie is wearing some gorgeous bracelets from her House of Harlow 1960 jewelry collection.

Talk about arm candy! From bangles to cuffs, in multiple numbers. Chunky bracelets are so in style!

We especially love her 14KT Gold-Plated Red Cabochon Stone Bangle ($180). Talk about a statement piece. The bangle is made from 14KT Gold-Plated Palladium. And look at the pretty red stones and black crystals around the band. We want this.

Nicole Richie has a smart sense of style, and she adores baubles and gems of all kinds. We think her House of Harlow 1960 jewelry is wonderful and sophisticated with a modern edge. You can find her jewelry at several online boutiques like Polyvore and fine stores like Bloomingdales.

Nicole Richie also has a very chic clothing line, Winter Kate. To her, fashion and jewelry should share a common bond:
“Fashion should be accessible,” Nicole says. “That was my philosophy when designing House of Harlow 1960 and it remains my philosophy for Winter Kate.”

We like that about Nicole Richie's business endeavors. The designs are classy and affordable, and Nicole is proud to wear the jewelry and clothing in public, unlike some celebrities who want to make a fast buck on a line, and have no desire to even wear the stuff.

And we have warmed up to Nicole Richie's darker hair. Actually, we prefer it to her trademark blonde mane. She looks beautiful.

There's been a lot of buzz about a makeup line called Motives by Loren Redinger. Celebrities like Kim Kardashian are said to be fans, and if Kim likes a cosmetics brand, then we know it's of great quality. Kim K loves putting on her face and she always looks high glam and flawless.

So, let's take a look. Loren Redinger, pictured above, has a super product---her foundation. It's called Motives Liquid Powder Foundation ($24.95). This little number seems to have a cult following. It's very popular and there are reasons for it.

First, her foundation has an SPF15. That's important. It comes in 10 shades. The foundation contains micro diffusers, which keep skin looking perfect. And Motives Liquid Powder Foundation feels really smooth and light on the face. You can sweat in it, and it still looks fresh and flawless.

Amazing Hair Care Products For Women Of Color

A friend of ours recently asked us to write an article on the delicate hair care needs of African-American women and other ladies of color.

And that mission has brought us to a wonderful website, treasuredlocks. We were blown away by the variety of hair products with very informative descriptions, as well as a 'Reading Room' on the site, where one can find super hair tips on styling and caring for your 'treasured locks.'

Ask any woman about their hair, and well, if you're having a good day, it's because your hair is looking fine. When your hair looks lousy, it can upset the balance in your life.

We have always admired Diana Ross and her beautiful, big hair. We don't know if it were all her hair, but it doesn't matter, because she could always pull off that look. She had an incredible mane. Little did we know that black hair is very fragile and needs lots of TLC, or tender loving care, to encourage its maximum growth potential. And that is where we found a bounty of hard-to-find brands and even Treasured Locks' line of hair products.

Let's take a look at Treasured Locks' own H2G Hair Growth Serum ($19.99, 4 oz. bottle). We were drawn to this product, because it contains emu oil, which scientific data shows has such promise in stimulating hair growth. Emu oil is able to penetrate through several layers of the dermis, and is good for the scalp, and discourages inflammation.

This is how the website describes their H2G Hair Growth Serum:
"While nothing can give you instantly longer hair, there are ways to maximize the amount of hair you have. By keeping your scalp healthy, maintaining the proper moisture and oil balance on your hair and getting the proper nutrition, you can make sure your hair grows at its maximum rate and does not break off. This is the secret to long and strong hair.
Treasured Locks H2G Hair Growth Serum is a blend of all natural ingredients scientifically proven to promote longer, healthier hair. Made from the highest quality Emu oil (AEA food grade certified), naturally extracted carrier oils and a proprietary blend of the finest quality, steam-distilled essential oils, our serum is unlike any other on the market."

Tywana Smith owns and operates TreasuredLocks.com. She talks about her company in her 'AboutUs ' page:
"Our policy is to only offer products we have extreme confidence in. Most of the products you see here are products we use on a regular basis. Our goal is to continue to develop the company to meet your needs. So, please tell me what you like and what you don't like. If there is a product you need and you don't see it here, tell me and I'll see if I can get it for you."

TreasuredLocks.com also sells makeup, skin care products, bath and body items, and also features a men's section.
