When you color or highlight your hair, the results are great, but inside each strand, there is damage going on because of the chemical alterations.
Coloring hair can be harsh and shine can disappear, strands become dry + brittle and so forth.
Shampoos for color-treated hair are designed to keep color alive and STAY that way.
But do these special shampoos really work?
We tried TRESemme Color Revitalize Protection Shampoo ($4.99 at Walgreens).
And we actually liked it. We were a bit taken aback when we poured out some shampoo into our hand. It was milky white like conditioner. We thought we had bought conditioner, but NO....this was the shampoo with advanced color vibrancy technology.
We LOVE the price----$5 for 28 fl. oz..
And we like the SHINE this product leaves behind. Plus, we retained our color for now. We will keep using this shampoo to see if it LOCKS in color longer than regular shampoos.
By the way, Tresemme is promising pretty major results using this shampoo:
The Advanced Color Lock Technology in the TRESemme Color Revitalize system of shampoo and conditioner can protect your hair color for up to 40 washes vs. non-conditioning shampoo.
40 washes?
If that's true, we're impressed!
