Jessica Seinfeld Takes Big, Blonde Beauty Risk: Is It A Fail?

We have said this several times before---- NOT every, dark-haired woman can be blonde and have it look right.

It's a very tricky maneuver, because it's ALL about your skin tone. And even the BEST of stylists can get it wrong. Somehow the blonde shade here just looks off.

Forgive us for selecting famous woman in her own right Jessica Seinfeld, the wonderful wife of super famous Jerry Seinfeld.

42-year-old Jessica has good, healthy hair to begin with. Hair professionals would agree that's a major plus when deciding to do ANY serious, hair transformation.

Hair grows back. Period. And Jessica isn't too attached to her locks, anyway.

“Everyone is asking me why — and basically, ‘Why not?’” said Jessica to People mag. back in May. "I have no attachments to anything physically,” she continued. “My husband always says, ‘I wish you were more materialistic.’ I just have no attachments (to things) so I don’t care. If I hate my hair, it will grow."

And Jessica had excellent professionals leading the way with Sarah Spratt, her colorist who continued the major transformation with New York City stylist Rheanne White to make Jessica's cut — with its rock-and-roll vibe — match the color.

But as cute as Jessica is, we don't think this blonde shade is complimentary to her skin tone. As L.A. celebrity stylist + master colorist Kim Vo has always emphasized to us,  your complexion is key:

Kim Vo: Skin tone is the most important factor in deciding your perfect color. It takes a professional eye to determine, but for a simple read, use the veins on your wrist. If your veins are blue, warm tones like chestnut and auburn tones are for you. If your veins are more green, caramel and golden hues will compliment you. If your veins are blue/green, then warm and cool tones can be added seamlessly.

For any of us who fool around with hair color, a darn good conditioner is essential.

Scarlett Johansson likes this one for her blonde locks:
Kerastase Masque Chroma Riche ($62.50).

  1. I think the cut is worse than the blonde color. If the blonde were on the bob, it would look nice I think.

  2. Nice teeth and smile. I will give her that, but her features aren't pixie enough for this cut or color. Go back to your dark roots ASAP!!
