New Dove Ultimate Visibly Smooth Deodorant Cuts Down On Shaving
So, are there more economical options?
Think Dove deodorant.
We use Dove Invisible Solid with the blue cap, and it works very decently to control perspiration. But now there's a new Dove in town, this one in the pretty pink color. It's called--Dove Ultimate Visibly Smooth Deodorant ($4, at drugstores).
So what does Dove deodorant have to do with underarm shaving?
We're finding this one a little hard to fathom, but, we will give it a try, and maybe some of you have already tested this Dove in the new pink container. We are curious to see what the product does.
According to Dove, the new Ultimate Visibly Smooth Deodorant, is formulated with a blend of natural extracts which supposedly target the stubble of your underarm hair. And these ingredients go to work to soften stubble for a smoother shave. Over time, your hair under there, will be finer and easier to shave away,
In addition, the deodorant leaves behind a thin, invisible film to make new hair growth less noticeable. And you still get the odor and wetness protection from the product. So no worry there.
If you visit Dove at http://www.dove.us/#/visiblysmooth/coupon.aspx, you can download a $2 off coupon on your next purchase of Ultimate Visibly Smooth.
And it comes in 2 appealing scents: Wild Rose. Nature Fresh.

New Colgate Wisp And Supersmile Quikee On The Go Touch-Ups
We've all been there. You've just enjoyed a dish of heavy-duty garlic cream sauce with pasta, and there's no way out. You head to the restaurant ladies' room and dig deep into your purse. Nothing! No toothbrush. No breath mint. No whitening paste. Not even a lint-covered TicTac(sometimes you're desperate, you know?)
We have 2 new on-the-go dental touch-ups. And the cost is very economical. You need these 2 dental products to stash in your bag. Always be prepared, as the old scout motto goes.
The first new on-the-go dental touch-up is a tiny, adorable dental accessory. Almost as big as your lipstick tube.
It's Colgate Wisp ($2.39 for a 4-pack, at drugstores). This is a mini traveling, disposable toothbrush that is actually embedded with a freshening gel bead. No water and no rinsing needed. Just brush, throw away, and go!
Colgate Wisp comes in 3 sugar-free flavors: Peppermint. Spearmint. Cinnamint.
Visit http://www.colgatewisp.com/ for more details and a contest to be the 'Face of Wisp.'
Our other favorite new dental on-the-go touch-up is a teeth whitener + breath freshener all-in-one. In a convenient pocket-sized tube.
Just squeeze a drop of Supersmile Quikee($6) onto your tongue and smooth it over your teeth, and watch your smile brighten instantly.
Supersmile Quikee is formulated with Calprox for super stain-lifting power. It also fights plaque and cavities and leaves your mouth feeling clean and refreshed.
Let's face it---these are 2 great new dental options to always have tucked away in your handbag. You just might need a clean mouth during these times:
After meals
At work
In a car
At the gym
On a plane
Before a date
You get the picture. The list is endless.

Health Beauty Benefits Abound In Red Raspberries
These ellagitannins are then converted into ellagic acid in the stomach.
And science is proving that this lovely, little fruit is full of health + beauty benefits.
We were lucky to interview Kent Kohnken, the president and CEO of SMDI, the Georgia-based company that sells the popular Raspex Cosmeceutical line. And we got to sample and closely examine a few of his skin care treatments.
Kent Kohnken would be the first person to suggest you eat a cup full of red raspberries a day, and preferrably from the Meeker variety, because this variety contains almost twice the amount of ellagitannins than the others.
The only problem with eating so many raspberries, is the cost, which could run up to $300 a month.
Kent Kohnken can personally tell you that red raspberries have proven to be quite a remarkable cancer fighter:
"I have been using Raspex capsules for almost 8 years. In 2001, I had prostate cancer, had my prostate removed, had the cancer spread beyond the prostate, and had 38 radiation treatments. I researched cancer since I was determined that I would offer an alternative to what I went through. I discovered ellagitannins and the tremendous value of Meeker red raspberries and developed the Raspex Powder, Raspex Capsules, and the Raspex Skin Cream, and other cosmeceuticals. Since 2002, my PSA has remained at zero. Almost every day, I hear of prostate cancer, as well as breast, esophageal, skin, colon, and other cancers being controlled by customers using the Rapsex powder, capsules, and creams."
One of the most popular Raspex products is the Raspex Meeker Raspberry Extract Skin Gel ($24.95, 2 oz. jar). Ladies, if there is one beauty + health treatment which covers all of the bases, this is it. And the gel/cream formula is gentle enough to be used around the eyes.
A little will go a long way, too. And just take a look at what this special raspberry gel/cream can do:
Helps remove skin cancer and pre-cancer
Reduces 'black and blue bruising'
Repairs sun damage
Has a 30 SPF
Heals sunburn quickly
Boosts skin's immune system
Maintain skin's suppleness
Improves fine capillary blood flow
Reduces wrinkles
Improves rosacea
Reduces scarring, moles, age spots
Other products from the Raspex cosmeceutical line include:
Emollient Facial Cleanser
Anti-Aging Night Cream
Vitamin C Serum
Analgesic Burn Cream
'Hot Raspberry Pie' Foot Cream
Progesterone Cream
Burn Ointment
Muscadine Grape/Meeker Raspberry Extract
In addition to Raspex Meeker Powder and Meeker Capsules
You can find all these health + beauty items at their website, http://www.smdi.org/. Free shipping, too, which is always nice, especially these days.
And Kent Kohnken says that many women and men are convinced his products are really improving their skin:
"Our customers confirm that our Rapsex products are more effective than high end department store anti-aging products. In many cases, our customers have replaced their entire cosmetics case with just the Raspex skin gel/cream and the Raspex anti-aging night cream."
And all that, from a humble, delicious, little red raspberry.

The Brits Call It Pillow Face But We Call It Fillers And Celebs Are Doing It
If you really take a good look at Hollywood these days, you will definitely see that famous faces are looking much fuller, with chipmunk cheeks, as some call this cosmetic beauty trend.
What is it?
The Brits call it 'Pillow Face.'
And who's doing it? Or allegedly doing it? Take a look at our photos from the top:
Daryl Hannah. Madonna. Pamela Anderson. Courtney Love. And gossip tongues are wagging that many other beauties are on the filler bandwagon......Nicole Kidman, Catherine Zeta Jones. Kylie Minogue. Elizabeth Hurley. And the over-40 list goes on....
Of course, a skilled plastic surgeon or cosmetic dermatologist can make all the difference.
And we read in the British DailyMail.com that a little filler goes a long way, according to injectables specialist Dr. Michael Prager:
"The main problem arises," says Dr. Prager, "when celebrities don't just try to restore lost volume, but create a wholly new and artificial face. When I use filler, I'm not aiming to create something that wasn't there before. This is one of the biggest mistakes that can be made. Nor am I trying to create carbon copy or cookie cutter faces that all look the same."
British consultant Rajiv Grover asks patients to bring in photographs of themselves in their 20s and 30s to avoid this problem.
"The key to natural enhancement is to use their younger faces as a roadmap for treatment. I don't want to give my patients huge round cheeks they never had because that would look ridiculous,' he says."
We think a little filler can look natural and youthful, but some plastic surgeons believe a facelift is the only way to go, and that too much filler can look odd, and doesn't actually reduce sagging found in faces over 40.

Perk Up Sagging Breasts With Clever Box Of Pick-Me-Ups
The gals at Glamour magazine have been raving about this clever, new breast lift-in-a-box, so we just had to investigate further.
At $17 a box, you can defy gravity, by lifting your sagging breasts up to 2 inches!! OMG!
The company that makes this instant breast lift is Purestylegirlfriends.com. And the tape is sold for sizes A-D.
And it's quick and easy to use, as the girls explain at http://www.purestylegirlfriends.com/:
Simply place the Pick-Me-Up tape over your breast and pull up. Voilá! The best part? The area that goes over your nipple is non-adhesive so it doesn't hurt when you take it off. The adhesive strips are sweat-proof and waterproof, which means staying radiant on the red carpet, and sassy, yet supported on the dance floor."
This is what you get in each box of Pick-Me-Ups:
Breast lift tape
Hypoallergenic, surgical-grade tape
Lays flat under your clothing
Fits A - D cups

Waterproof and sweatproof
3 pairs in each box
The Pure Style Girlfriends company sells all kinds of breast beauty products like nipple concealers, double-sided fashion tape, bra inserts, and other clever bosom solutions.

Coppertone Calling On Brooke Shields To Promote NutraShield
Brooke comes across as a sincere human being. And even sun care giant, Coppertone, decided that Brooke Shields would bring her own brand of integrity to the company's new NutraShield, a sunscreen containing antioxidants that promote natural skin repair.
Brooke Shields told People magazine at an LA launch for Coppertone's NutraShield, that she recently experienced a skin cancer wake-up call.
"I had a spot on my face. The doctor scraped it, and it turned out to be precancerous," Brooke Shields tells People. "I was scared."
Like many of us, Brooke took in the rays as a youth, slathering on the stuff we all used to baste ourselves with.
"Baby oil and tinfoil and lemon in your hair," she says "All my girlfriends and I would go up on the roof in New York; we didn't have to be at the beach."
And she told People, that she stopped actively tanning 10 years ago. And now she puts on the sunscreen when she heads outdoors, and is especially concerned for her two fair-skinned daughters.
That is why Brooke Shields is proud to be the face of Coppertone's new NutraShield.
The line includes an SPF 70+ Faces lotion ($10.99), as well as SPF70+ and SPF 30 lotions for the body. The product line is available online and at mass retailers across the country.
What's so great about this sunscreen?
Patricia Agin at the Coppertone Solar Research Center explains:
"Our legacy of continuous innovation led to the development of COPPERTONE NutraShield and its Dual Defense technology, providing women an affordable skin-care option that delivers a high level of sun protection as well as antioxidants to help nourish skin."

Sacha Cosmetics Perfect For Yellow Based Complexions
Are you wearing the perfect foundation shade for your skin tone?
We will be honest here. Unless you have a professional makeup artist at your side, picking the right foundation shade is very difficult. And if you have a yellow-based complexion, it's even tougher, because there aren't too many yellow-based foundations being offered these days.
Thank goodness for Sacha Cosmetics. The company has been chosen in the past, as the 'official cosmetics for the Miss Universe and Miss USA Pageants'. And those beautiful participants always look so gorgeous, their skin and makeup flawless.
So what does yellow-based foundation have to do with a woman's makeup? Plenty, if you realize that the majority of us do have yellow in our complexions. According to the Sacha Cosmetics website:
"Most Caucasian and all Asian, African and Latin women do have yellow skin undertones."
And the website offers a wide variety of makeup, including lip glosses and eye shadows. The Sacha Cosmetics people also give you valuable advice when it comes to choosing the perfect foundation:
"Apply foundation evenly along the jaw line and blend. The foundation should perfectly match the color of your neck without any silica residue. Testing our Sacha foundation on the back of the palm is also a quick substitute, though not as accurate as the jaw line test!"

Want Big, Full Angelina Jolie Lips? Apply This And Grow!
We'd all be fools if we said we didn't want at least plumper lips than we have at the moment. And yet, how do we achieve them without the sharp pain from a collagen-filled needle?
Hmmm. That's the question: Is there a way to achieve bigger, fuller lips the natural way?
The makers of Cushy Lips, say, yes, you can!!
We haven't tried the product yet, but we are intrigued. The price isn't that bad, either, $19.95 for a full month's supply. Plus there is a 100% money back guarantee.
If you've tried lip plumpers, there are probably a gazillion on the market and many are highly priced. Some work well. Others do not and merely sting your lips with some bizarre synthetic formula. Others dry out your lips making them feel very uncomfortable.
What's so special about Cushy Lips?
According to the information we found, the product is made with natural ingredients. And what you get is a lip plumper and lip gloss-all-in-one.
The formula is safe and easily absorbable. It includes macadamia oil, castor oil, menthol, and vitamin E. Cushy Lips is a product that moisturizes and leaves lips very soft.We learned more from writer Blake Allen
http://ezinearticles.com/?Cushy-Lips---Lip-Plumper-Superstar&id=1616471
"CushyLips will give both an immediate and lasting plumping effect to the lips. Women should use this lip plumper twice a day for maximum results, applying the lip-plumper first and then the lip gloss for added moisture and color. Within several weeks, they usually see an average increase of 1-3 mm to their lips. Another benefit to using CushyLips is that the plumper's increase of blood flow causes lips to appear pinker. With continued use, lips may appear so pink that women decide to discard their lipsticks."
We're not promising you huge lips, and we can't exactly give you 100% Angelina Jolie lips, but the product appears to give you fuller lips in a natural way. So it seems like a simpler, safer way to achieve a sexier set of lips.
For more information on Cushy Lips, visit their website: http://www.cushylips.com/.

LA Stylist To The Stars Ken Paves Knows A Cheap Great Hairbrush
Ken Paves' pick for a cheap, great hairbrush:
DCNL Porcupine Cushion Hairbrush ($24.99, ULTA stores and at Ulta.com)
http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?skuId=2114612&productId=xlsImpprod620022&navAction=push&navCount=1&categoryId=cat120074#details
He loves this good-looking brush with the bright red cushion. " Works just as well as other mixed-bristle brushes that are far more expensive," Ken Paves says.
The DCNL Porcupine Cushion Hairbrush features nylon bristles with boar bristles.
And right now, you can pick up the hairbrush at Ulta.com for only $19.99 with their 20% off promo code 27164.
Hairbrushes can be quite expensive. And this cute red-cushioned number closely resembles the famous Mason Pearson Boar Bristle & Nylon Hairbrush for $169. It might not be as durable as the Mason Pearson, but it can get the job done.
Times are tough these days, and we're all looking for beauty bargains. And if LA's Ken Paves says this is a very decent hairbrush, we believe him.

Sex & The City's Kristin Davis Stays Young Through AHAVA
As Sex and the City Fans anxiously await another movie from the gals, (it was made official last February that the cast had signed on to do a sequel), we were eager to learn about Kristin Davis, and how the 44-year-old, ageless beauty stays that way.
One word she has for her fans: AHAVA.
Kristin Davis is talking about the AHAVA skin care line she is an international spokesperson for.
We can say that the Time Line products of AHAVA all contain dead sea algae. The plant is said to be full of beta carotene and vitamins, ingredients that keep skin looking youthful.
All Night Nourishment, which Kristin Davis adores, was also developed with a patented 3D Complex, containing extracts from the Trigonella shrub and Jujube tree, both of which are supposed to nourish damaged skin. A jar retails for $56 for 1.7 oz.
Ahava, by the way, means 'love' in Hebrew. And according to the AHAVA skin care line, the secret is in the Dead sea.
"People from all over the world with very sensitive skin or even skin disorders come to the Dead Sea to immerse their bodies in its mineral-rich waters. Dead Sea minerals are approved and recommended by the world’s most renowned dermatologists, both as an excellent remedy for alleviating the symptoms of skin problems and as ongoing, daily care for maintaining healthy skin at optimal levels. The majority of AHAVA products are approved for sensitive skin."
And that is the beauty of the AHAVA mineral-rich skin care line. From face, to hands and body, to bath and hair, there is a special AHAVA beauty treatment for you.
You can purchase AHAVA products from these websites:

Carol Alt Keeping It Raw And Natural With New Skin Care Line
Carol Alt has been enjoying the healthy benefits of eating raw foods for quite some time now, and it just made sense, to extend that pure goodness to the products one uses on their face and body. That means:
100% raw active, natural and completely synthetic-free ingredients. That means no parabens, P.E.G.s, or lauryl sulfates. In fact, RAW ESSENTIALS is the only product line sold in the United States that is certified raw.
Carol Alt explains the value of raw skin care at her website, www.CarolAlt.com.
“Since the raw movement is relatively new, it was virtually impossible to find a cosmetics company with a truly pure line that I, myself, would feel safe using. My guidelines and demands on this subject are so stringent, and I am not willing to compromise on them, that it made it very difficult for any company to be able to afford to work with me. You have to understand that it is very expensive to use raw ingredients in anything. When I say ‘raw’, I mean as found in nature - unadulterated, unheated ingredients. That is basically why I had to create my own products, which has taken me quite a while to accomplish..."
Carol is very serious about the true ingredients found in her new skin care line.
“You know…I simply cannot imagine that putting something synthetic on your skin can possibly improve it. All you have to do is look around. No matter how much expensive goop people put on their faces, are they looking younger? No! Not at all. If all of the synthetic products really worked, would we need botox and plastic surgery to the degree they’re now being used? Think about it…!”
The HSN shopping website features a number of Carol Alt's Raw Essentials collection.
We recommend the RAW Essentials by Carol Alt Raw-gime 5-piece Face Kit
Item: 396-475. It sells for $68.50. Retail price: $103.25.
The kit includes:
4 oz. RAW Essentials Raw-covery Facial Revive Wash.
1.7 oz. RAW Essentials Raw-activate Daily Revitalizing Moisturizer.
.5 oz. RAW Essentials Raw-juvenate Eye Recoup.
4 oz. RAW Essentials Raw-fresh Facial Toner.
2 oz. RAW Essentials Raw-finish Rigorous Face Scrub.
Made in USA.
And by looking at the customer reviews, it's an excellent skin care introductory set. Sensitive skin will appreciate this line, and those with rosacea, have found Carol's products soothing and effective at toning down the redness.

How To Make Bethenny's 90 Calorie Skinnygirl Margarita
Summer is fast approaching.....that means shorter skirts, shorter shorts, baring arms, dare we say a bikini, and so on.
We're all watching our waistlines, but we also want to have fun, and that means a sweet cocktail once in a while. And that brings us to the legendary, tropical margarita.
The average margarita has about, well, several hundred calories!!!! According to WikiAnswers.com, the number is frightening:
"Frozen: 180 calories (all carbs) for a 4 oz serving. Considering the average margarita glass holds 12 oz you're looking at 540 calories."
Wow. That's a ton of calories. And that's why, we are so looking forward to Bethenny Frankel's new line of Skinnygirl Margaritas coming out this June in a liquor store near you. The beauty of Bethenny's margarita is a dieter's dream---only 90 calories a drink. Or as The Real Housewives of New York star, Bethenny Frankel, likes to say: "The margarita you can trust."
And we have Bethenny's recipe for a Skinnygirl Margarita. You can also find the recipe at her website: http://www.bethenny.com/skinny_margarita.htm.
2 oz of Clear Premium Tequila (count 1, 2 while you pour, no need for measuring)
Tiny splash of Orange Liquor
Juice of 4 Fresh Lime Wedges
Splash of Grand Marnier or BOLS Triple Sec
Combine all ingredients over a glass of ice + garnish with a lime wedge. Makes one serving.
You can also check out Bethenny's step-by-step YouTube demo of how to make a Skinnygirl's Margarita. It's an excellent, easy-to-follow process:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rHtrFXb1s40&eurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Ebethenny%2Ecom%2Fskinny%5Fmargarita%2Ehtm&feature=player_embedded
Yummy! Enjoy!
